2.1 Response from the Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport on the Report on General and Budget Scrutiny

Members noted the response from the Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport.  Members agreed to seek clarification on the commitment from the Welsh Government that they would no longer accept committee recommendations ‘in principle’, and whether this applies to all reports or just those published by the Public Accounts Committee.

2.2 Response from the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food on legislation arising from the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union

Members noted the letter.

The Committee noted the letter.  Members agreed to write to the Chair of the Petitions Committee outlining the proposed approach to this issue.

4 Agricultural Wages Order update

Members received an update on this issue from the legal advisor.  Members noted that the Constitutional and Legislative Affairs Committee had reported on the Order. The Committee agreed to write to the Cabinet Secretary about two issues arising from the Order. The Committee also agreed to undertake further work on this subject during 2019.

Members noted the draft report and recommendations which was agreed with some amendments.
